Rapid Response Vehicle

A new initiative by a dedicated volunteer group who are concerned by the rise in road and farm accidents resulting in serious injuries and fatalities in Waterford aims to procure a new state of the art Critical Emergency Medical Response Vehicle for the West Waterford area. The Dungarvan based fundraising group, Rapid Response Vehicle for West Waterford, aims to enhance emergency medical services in the region, ensuring advanced A+E emergency pre-hospital care is swiftly delivered throughout a very large mostly rural 100 square mile area.

Target - €200,000

The voluntary group intend to raise over €200,000 with the objective of procuring and operating a state-of-the-art emergency vehicle equipped with advanced medical facilities which would have the capacity to bring the A+E to the scene of an accident with cutting-edge equipment to facilitate efficient and effective emergency medical interventions carried out by a volunteer doctor or paramedic that is specially trained in emergency medicine.
